When this little guy’s Mama called to schedule a newborn session she casually asked if I’d be able to get some shots of him on their motorcycle. My ears instantly perked up, “Why yes, I’d love to try that!” I’ve never photographed a little one on a bike before but I have a soft spot in my heart for motorcycle enthusiasts. Most likely because my Dad is into them. Any chance I get, I’ll go for a ride. So you can imagine how excited I was to pull up to their house and this good looking bike is outside shining in the sunlight. Don’t you love that paint color?
So thankful it was a warm day outside because newborns won’t stand it being cold. After some coaxing from Mom and I, we got him asleep in this position. We faired pretty good too, only one minor hiccup. Nothing a little Armor All couldn’t fix.
While we were photographing Dad said he was going to send this image into the Victory Motorcycle dealership. Bet they don’t have too many like this.
I’m excited to use this image on a custom birth announcement!

Then we headed back inside for some more traditional newborn images. This little guy was an angel throughout the session. He slept really good and looked so cuddly.

This family is absolutely adorable. I really enjoyed talking with Mom and Dad about the different trips they’ve taken on their bike. Sounds like fun.

I photographed this session right before I left for Memorial Day weekend. I couldn’t have asked for a better session to end my week. Mom and Dad are so happy to be parents, it just shines. I left that day smiling after seeing them love on their new baby son.

I’m sharing an early morning photoshoot at one of my favorite spots, Schramm Park. I don’t think this little girl could have been any cuter. I really enjoyed getting to know her while we went on a photo adventure. We wandered around looking for flowers, sticks, and even fed the ducks although they were being a tad territorial!

Look at those eyelashes! And like I said in my title, cuteness is defined by pigtails like these pictured above. Little “E” was such a good girl while I photographed her. My favorite part of the session was when she sat in my lap to enjoy her fruit snacks. Nothing better than making a new little friend.

I have another fun engagement shoot to share with you on this beautiful Memorial Day weekend. I was looking forward to this shoot since we were going to meet in a location I had never shot in before . . . outside Memorial Stadium.
They asked me to meet them by the championship statue but I didn’t know the significance until I got there and they told me this is where Chris proposed. How meaningful to incorporate this spot into their engagement photos. So special that I asked them to recreate the scene for me. Now just picture hundreds of Husker fans around them on a game day and I think we did a pretty good job!

If you couldn’t tell Erin and Chris are die-hard Husker fans. They both went to school at UNL so it was fun to utilize the beautiful campus in and around Memorial Stadium.

This good-looking couple was a blast to photograph. Feels like I’m always saying that but I am grateful to have such incredible clients. Erin and Chris I am really looking forward to your July 4th wedding. I *love* the BYOB (bring your own blanket) idea to watch the fireworks that night. It will be amazing incorporating all these special touches into your wedding day images.

I photographed three engagement sessions over three days so I get to share what upcoming wedding excitement looks like. I’m pleased to showcase another good-looking couple that I got together with on a gorgeous evening. I wanted to bottle up this weather and have it at my disposal. Great lighting and just the right temperature. Again, this couple stepped out with a fantastic wardrobe. How do I get so lucky to have such stylin’ clients?

Adam is currently living out of town and was here finalizing wedding plans before their big day next month. I could tell how happy this couple was to be together. Perfect for adding to the level of romance in their images! You know that age old quote, “Absence makes the heart grow fonder . . . “

Kim and Adam, Thank you for spending some time with me that beautiful May evening. You were so fun to photograph and I know we’ll have even more fun the day of your wedding. It was a crazy turn of events that allowed you to find me but I can’t tell you how excited I am to get to document your wedding day.

Very happy to get to photograph Amy and Cole’s upcoming wedding. They are so nice and such a great looking couple! I was complimenting them on their wardrobe selections as soon as they got out of their car.
Look at the love between these two. Such an inspiring shoot! Made me glad that I could document this point in their lives. Aren’t they cute?

I’m beyond thrilled to be working with you two for the wedding this June…it’s going to be a lot of fun! Amy, I just know your dress will be amazing after I saw your great wardrobe picks for this session. You two will be looking dynamite on your big day!
